How can I create a website?
Making a website with Google Sites is free, quick, and easy. Here are 7 steps to get your first site published:
Create your site. Go to sites.google.com/new. At the top of the page, create a Blank site, or use a template from the Template gallery. A page will open containing your new site.
Name your site. On the top left corner, enter a name for your site and press Enter.
Change the basic design of your site. On the right side, press Themes. Create a custom theme by pressing Create theme ➕ or use a pre-made theme created by Google under the CREATED BY GOOGLE section.
Add content to your site. Add pages, sub pages, text, images, section layouts, and other components to build out your site. Learn more about creating your first site.
Make your site more accessible. Add alt text to images and headings, use high-color contrast, use informative link text, use appropriate text size and alignment, and use formatting to make your site accessible to everyone. Learn more about making your site more accessible.
Preview your site. On the top bar, press Preview. At the bottom, choose a device to preview your site on. To exit, press Exit ❌.
Publish your site. On the top bar, press Publish. Enter a web address and link a custom domain if desired. Once you've changed all the necessary settings to your liking, press Publish and your site will be live to your selected audience globally.
